I played the multi-player (with Mike himself I must say) and it is really fun! The multi-player isn’t exactly like it’s said to be in the above article though, it’s not walk around/checkers as the single player action is. I’m digging it so far! You start off in front of the dark castle and from that first moment you realize this is going to be one of those medieval fantasy games you’ve been wanting to play for far to long.
Right! Now as for my follow-up after playing for about an hour and a half (maybe a tad less). A really cool and entertaining add which many games don’t have. The board snaps in half as if you had done so. Having a bad time? Don’t want to press quit? Press ‘rage quit’. After all, you gotta spend money to earn money! And there’s also the rage quit option. They are hidden and only you can see them. There are mainly two types of traps: ones that can be manually activated all over the board such as arrows, or the ones that have to be stepped on by enemies. When a enemy piece steps on it, whatever the trap does will be activated. After being purchased, traps can be placed on a checkerboard at the beginning of a game. Traps are the cause of the game being called Bloody Checkers.
The checkers are not only in full 3-D and can be navigated around with great graphics, they also have cool new twists such as traps. Forget the old, traditional 2-D one camera mode checkers most of these type of games will give you for a more expensive price. The more you play, the more you get all of these things as well as higher levels.īetter checkers. They can be used to unlock keys which will open up more dungeons and more things to explore, or even tools such as candles or other necessary things in the game that you will need sooner or later. They can be used to buy goods such as traps in a checkers game (see below), which earns you even more cash. Money can be found by exploring and opening chests, participating in games as said earlier, or selling your objects to stores or other places. The experience points add up and eventually level you up, which introduces new upgrades and more dungeons available. You can earn money and experience points by winning or even losing matches in single player or in multi-player. All of these things make the game better and a greater fun to play. Gloomy and mysterious setting.Īnother good thing this game lets you experience are the stores, the money, and ability to level up. But, isn’t a little fright always great?īloody Checkers. To sum it up, this game has great graphics, and this creates a gloomy setting that’s not too scary but yet may raise some goosebumps here and there. This is a good thing when the game setting is in first person 3-D. The castle you play in fully resembles one you’d see in real life. For a 80 MSP game, the graphics are great and makes the dark creepy environment even a bigger fright. Great graphics in a gloomy settings is one of the cool things Bloody Checkers has. Here’s all the information in more deeper terms. This is the best checkers game you’ll ever play. This game introduces checkers to the maximum where it stretches beyond a regular checkers game. The reason that this game is truly so special is because of its environment and all of the sweet stuff this game has. For only 80 Microsoft points on Xbox 360 (One dollar), you get the whole game unlocked- which includes multi-player, and single player.
